I was shocked at how much I enjoyed this hair product! Between the smell, the cute bottle and the way my hair looks and feels? This is my new favorite styling gel! I have 2b type hair so it’s more on the wavy side, but with this product my “curls” have never looked better! They’re more defined than ever. My hair has felt so light weight and not heavy at all like most gels every single time I’ve used this. I love how pretty and girly it smells and leaves my hair smelling throughout the whole entire day that people even compliment me! And let’s not forget about the packaging! Cheribe Soft Hold Syling Gelee is truly soft hold. I have coarse, half curly/half wavy hair that is naturally frizzy. But I don't like having "crispy" looking hair that results from using mousse or a stronger holding gel. Sadly, curl creams alone don't provide enough control for me. I have found that applying this gelee after my leave in conditioner and styling cream works well for me. I let my hair air dry and before styling, I reapply another bit of the gelee to my hair and scrunch, then lightly spray with hairspray to hold everything in place. For me, the beauty of this product is that it doesn't make my hair look greasy or weighed down. I can reapply it to second day hair and revive my waves/curls without it leaving a build-up or weighing it down. My hair is shiny, pleasantly scented, and doesn't look wet or crispy all day.

It takes years, many many products, endless techniques, and a lot of patience to figure out what works best for your curls. Every curly-headed person out there in the world has their own way. Even though I have it down pretty well, I love discovering a new product that my curls love. The Soft Hold Styling Gelee from Cheribe is awesome! It makes my curls look gorgeous without weighing them down, making them look greasy, or giving a nasty crunchy finish. My curls look defined, feel soft, and hold for a long time. I refreshed my curls with it every morning for four days and it still looked great. On my wash days I have been double shampooing to remove build-up, putting in conditioner and rinsing it out after a few minutes or putting a small amount of leave-in conditioner on wet hair when I get out, and then putting this gelee on soaking wet hair using the praying hands method, scrunched it in up to the roots, using a microfiber cloth to scrunch more, air drying, and then scrunching out the cast. It yielded great results without diffusing! I did diffuse one day, just to see what it would look like, but it's not needed. I love a simple routine that makes me feel confident and put together.

This product was amazing to use! It smells delicious, but not an overpowering scent and it doesn't weight my curls down at all. It lets my hair stay super soft after breaking the cast! Very easy to use. I only noticed if I don’t use a hair oil while separating my curls it gets slightly frizzy throughout the day, but that isn’t something I care too much about, but worth noting for people who might care! My curls stay defined for a long time even at my day three mark, other products will lose definition after the second day. Overall, I really love it! The price point is amazing too! I have wavy-to-curly hair, and I use both mousse and gel when I "plop" my hair every time I wash my hair. I also bleach and dye my hair. So, I am always looking for products to repair the damage that the bleach causes. I absolutely love products that are "two-fers" - one product that does multiple things. A gelee that also repairs hair bonds, hydrates, and prevents future damage?! Sign me up! I used the amount shown in the image above, which was perfectly effective for my mid-back length hair. It performed just as well as the gel that I used before trying this one, but it also has all of those added benefits that my other gel doesn't. The gelee was not tacky, and it didn't leave my hair stiff. No cast was imparted, either. With the bottle being 8 oz, I don't even know how long this bottle will last me, and I think it's a great value.
